The air in a closed-up house goes through the ducts first
From December through March a Salt Lake County house is sealed, and everything moving through it moves through the duct system on the way. Cleaning it is a day's work with a visible result — price yours in three questions, without a walkthrough.
What does a duct cleaning actually include?
The supply runs, the returns, and the plenum — cleaned, not blown around. Where it makes sense, the same PeakPure Home visit covers the dryer vent, a sanitizing and deodorizing pass, and sealing the joints that are leaking conditioned air into a crawlspace.
The equipment side is what keeps the result: a media filter cabinet that takes a MERV 13 filter, a UV purifier, a portable HEPA unit for one problem room, or a monitor that reports on air conditions. Each of those is a separate line you choose, not part of an automatic bundle.
What PeakPure Home does on a clean air visit
Duct and vent cleaning
Supplies, returns and the plenum — the package the rest attaches to.
Dryer vent cleaning
The run most likely to be blocked, and the one that matters most when it is.
Sanitize and deodorize
A treatment pass after the cleaning.
Duct sealing
For joints leaking conditioned air into a space you are not paying to condition. Priced per system.
Media filter cabinet, MERV 13
A proper filter housing rather than a one-inch slot.
UV purifier
Installed in the duct system.
Portable HEPA unit
For the one room that is the problem.
Indoor air quality monitor
So you can see what changed.
How is duct cleaning priced?
Per system, in three packages — Air Plan GOOD, BETTER and BEST — plus anything you add à la carte. If your house runs two furnaces it is two systems, and the second is not the same price as the first. The tool asks how many, which package, and which extras, then returns the number with the lines behind it.
Every quote is the top of the range, and your final price will not exceed it without your approval.
One furnace or air handler and the ductwork it feeds is one system. A second unit for an upstairs or a basement makes two.
GOOD, BETTER or BEST. The tool shows what each one comes to on your house rather than in the abstract.
Dryer vent, sealing, sanitizing, filtration equipment. Each is its own line, so you can see what it costs and drop it if it is not worth it.
There is also an annual membership. It adds nothing to today's number — it is worth what it saves you next year, and the quote treats it that way.

When is the best time to clean ducts?
Winter, and the run-up to it. A Salt Lake County house that is shut from December to March is the house where duct condition shows up, and autumn is when the system starts running daily again after a summer idle.
It is work that can be done in any month — it is simply most worth doing before the house closes up.
Where does PeakPure Home clean ducts?
Across Salt Lake County. PeakPure Home's clean air division works inside the county; roofing and windows travel anywhere in Utah.
Clean air questions Salt Lake County homeowners ask
How is duct cleaning priced?
Per system, in three packages — Air Plan GOOD, BETTER and BEST — plus anything you add à la carte. One furnace and the ductwork it feeds is one system, so a house running two furnaces is two systems. The quote tool on this page asks how many systems, which package and which extras, then returns one number with the itemized lines behind it.
What counts as one system?
One furnace or air handler and the ductwork it feeds. A house with a second unit for an upstairs or a basement is two systems; each is separate work, priced separately.
What is included in a duct cleaning?
The supply runs, the returns and the plenum. A dryer vent cleaning, a sanitizing and deodorizing pass, and duct sealing are separate lines you can add — they are not assumed, and they are not bundled in without being named.
When is the best time of year to have ducts cleaned?
Winter and the run-up to it. A house that stays shut from December through March is the house where duct condition shows up, and autumn is when the system starts running daily again after sitting idle all summer. It can be done in any month; it is simply most worth doing before the house closes up.
Do I need the filtration equipment as well?
Not necessarily. Cleaning is the job; a media filter cabinet, a UV purifier, a portable HEPA unit or an air quality monitor are each separate lines you choose. The quote tool prices them individually so you can see what each one costs before deciding.
Is the membership a discount on the cleaning?
No, and the quote does not present it as one. It adds nothing to today's number. It is worth what it saves you next year, not what it takes off today's visit.
Why does duct sealing cost more on a bigger house?
Duct sealing is priced per system. Sealing the joints on two duct systems is twice the work of sealing one, so the quote multiplies it by the system count.
